It is always possible to pull water from the stone.
Someway, somehow, it can be done.
But that doesn’t mean we should attempt it absent minded.
As in the words of that long lost poet,
Strike, ye Mighty, upon the chords of chaos – and tremble!
Forget this, and falter.
If we fail to remember where we’ve come from and where we are going, if we forget why we’re pulling in water, why we are drawing in the flows – who for and where from and for what reason – we risk being cast aside before ever reaching our destination.
Of course, if you’re willing to walk the plank, or drink the hemlock, then that’s a different question entirely.
And enjoy the view from Mount Nebo, my friend.
