Love isn’t something that weak people do.
— Phoebe Waller-Bridge
Let us be clear. This is not some convoluted origin story.
Love and war may both be integral parts of nature and life, but here we do in fact have a clear genealogy, an order of events. First, there was love—the initial dance of shape and form, the original spark of propagation. Only then, only once life had finally given birth to its first offspring, could there also be competition and war between the beloved.
That’s why love is primary.
That’s why love encompasses even war.
Because yes, love and war are inextricable—but love comes first.
Your heart will lead you home.
